2023 Arnold Strongman Classic Predictions

The contestants in the upcoming major international strongman meet in 2023 will compete for the distinction of being the first to win. Taking place in Columbus, Ohio, the event is scheduled to occur just under two months before The World's Strongest Man in April. It is worth noting that two prominent competitors and high-placed finishers in the Arnold Strongman Classic 2022, namely Oleksii Novikov and Martins Licis, will not participate in this tournament, adding to the unpredictability of the championship. Nevertheless, we will endeavor to provide you with our most accurate forecasts on who will perform well and take home the coveted gold medal.

Competitors:

Luke Stoltman

Luke's strength has been increasing steadily each year, as demonstrated by his wins and high placements in Europe's Strongest Man in 2021 and 2022. His exceptional pressing strength makes him a strong contender in the Austrian Oak event, and we expect him to perform well and secure a top spot in the final rankings.

Tom Stoltman

Just like his brother, Tom is a dominant force in the world of strongman. Having won the World's Strongest Man title in both 2021 and 2022, he is sure to be eager for a three-peat. Even the Arnold Strongman Classic won't be able to resist his competitive strength. If the event includes atlas stones, his opponents would be even more intimidated to face him.

Trey Mitchell

Trey has been making a name for himself in the strongman community, with recent victories in the Shaw Classic and high placements in other prestigious competitions like WSM. This assures us of his capability to compete for the championship at the Arnold. We have strong confidence in his ability to win, particularly in the elephant bar deadlift event.

Mateusz Kieliszkowski

Kieliszkowski boasts world record-breaking pressing power, exceptional speed, and impressive conditioning, making him a dominant contender in any strongman event. He consistently places near or on the podium in competitions. With his sights set on securing his first victory in an Arnold Strongman event, he is undoubtedly determined to take the top spot. We anticipate him to excel in the timber frame carry, as it is an event in which he is known to excel.

Pavlo Nakonechnyy

Pavlo's rise to prominence in the strongman community has been meteoric, following his exceptional powerlifting achievements. His victory in Giants Live last year, combined with his impressive deadlifting prowess, makes him a formidable adversary. Keep an eye out for this 23-year-old Ukrainian powerhouse as he is sure to impress. We anticipate a remarkable display of deadlifting ability from both Pavlo and Trey Mitchell.

Mitchell Hooper

Hooper is yet another strongman who has burst onto the scene in recent times, displaying exceptional strength and conditioning. His prowess in endurance-related events, such as the wheel of pain in this year's competition, is truly impressive. It wouldn't be a shock to see him on the podium, especially in events that require high repetitions, as he has a remarkable ability to maintain his strength throughout.

Bobby Thompson

Bobby's steady improvement in the Arnold Strongman Classic is impressive, going from 9th place in 2020 to 6th in 2021 and then to 3rd in 2022. If he continues on this upward trajectory, it will be one of the most remarkable journeys towards a championship we've witnessed. Bobby is expected to put up a strong fight in certain events, particularly the Austrian Oak log lift.

Rob Kearney

When it comes to strength, Kearney is a name that cannot be overlooked. Despite not being the biggest competitor, his exceptional technique and leverage allow him to compete with the very best. Kearney is a consistent and formidable threat in every competition he enters, and this year will be no different. Expect him to put on a memorable performance.

Maxime Boudreault

Boudreault is yet another technique-driven powerhouse in the strongman world. His recent rise to the top of every major competition is a testament to the effectiveness of his approach. With a combination of impressive strength and endurance, Boudreault is expected to perform exceptionally once again, leaving a lasting impression on the competition.

Tom Evans

Despite having fewer competitions under his belt than some of his competitors, Tom Evans has already made a name for himself by winning 50% of the competitions he's entered, including the Shaw Classic 2022 and Arnold Amateur Strongman 2022. Although he may not have as much experience as others, Evans' lifting prowess is sure to impress anyone who watches him compete. Don't underestimate his abilities.
